How to renew your Real Estate license (SAE)

Step 1 |
Complete your continuing education requirements with Spencer Training and Testing Development, Inc. (If this is your first renewal you must take a total of 60 hours). |

Step 2 |
Once you have completed your course through Spencer Training and Testing Development, Inc., go online to www.trec.state.tx.us to renewing your license download the renewal form along with the fax cover sheet that TREC has provided. |

Step 3 |
Pay the appropriate fee to the Texas Real Estate Commission online. If you do not have a credit card you may mail in your fee but it must be in the form of a check, money order or cashier’s check, made payable to the Texas Real Estate Commission. TREC’s mailing address is P.O box 12188 Austin, Texas 78711-2188. |

Step 4 |
If you are paying on-line, use the fax cover sheet to fax in your certificates to TREC. |

Step 5 |
You may practice real estate as long as your license is NOT expired. If your license is expired you will not be allowed to practice real estate until TREC has re-instated your license. You can find this information out on the TREC website by logging onto www.trec.state.tx.us and going to the home page and typing in your name last name first. |
